Savant has taken the system and home automation world by storm providing a very different approach to programming and maintenance of systems.  While the basic concepts behind their hardware remains straightforward, their partnership with Apple ensures that they have a very stable and reliable platform to base their products on.  This relationship has already proven successful by many other dealers around the country and, so far, LMC’s installs have reflected this as well.

This changes everything….introducing the iPad

In case you’ve been travelling outside our solar system, Apple introduced the new iPad at the beginning of April.  There has been so much talk about this device it’s become nauseating and there is definitely no shortage of opinions.  We have found it to be quite fun and very easy to use.  The size and form factor makes it easy to read while still very portable.  Savants new ROSIE control software for the iPad is exceptional; whether it’s a single room or a whole house system the larger screen makes control a breeze.  We fully expect this to become a major factor for all home automation systems of the future.  Savant recently introduced two new accessories for the iPod, an in-wall dock and a table stand; both make the tablet accessible depending on install preference.

More options

Savant has many options when it comes to system control.  They have a basic single room control system, simple in-home audio distribution system and, of course, their flagship system which is completely configurable for whatever your audio and video needs are.  There is really no general price point for any of these systems as costs will vary on both hardware and programming time depending on the types of systems it is interacting with.
